Hey, I'm Rosie
My childhood was full of adventure, music and art. My brothers are musicians, my mum was a painter and I’ve been dancing for almost 23 years. Beyond the dance studio, I love to explore the world around me. Whether it be travelling to new places, hitting the slopes or simply spending time outdoors. Mind you, I enjoy a TV binge session or a good podcast just as much!
I couldn’t introduce myself without mentioning some of my nearest and dearest. Ben is not only my partner but also my best friend. He always seems to have me in stitches and despite my dance background, he’s the one you’ll find cutting loose on the dancefloor! As for my frenchies Narla and George, I could easily spend hours watching them do nothing and still be entertained.
This is my mum.
My love for photography evolved when I understood the true weight of what a photograph can give you. My mother sadly passed away when I was sixteen and I very quickly turned to photographs to remember her.
Growing up, my dad always had a camera in his hand – maybe this is where I got it from! He captured all the special moments, even the ones that seemed insignificant at the time. I cherish all these photographs and home videos because I can see my mum in all her happy moments.
It’s sad to realise we might not know the true importance of a photograph until we have lost a loved one. However, this has given me passion. It has allowed me to always put my heart into capturing the special moments around me to ensure that one day, someone might look back at one of my photos and smile at their loved ones, just as I do, when I look back at cherished photographs of my Mum.
